Overview
A Deed of Transfer is the document registered in the Deeds Registry that transfers ownership from the seller to the buyer.
Process
- Agreement of Sale signed.
- Conveyancer prepares transfer documents.
- Taxes and fees are settled.
- Documents are lodged.
- Transfer is registered.
Important
Ownership generally passes when registration is completed, not when the Agreement of Sale is signed.
